ICETREK TO OLD KEMI
Conquer the Old Kemi, historical Laitakari sawmill island where Kemi people lived and worked before the city was born over 150 years ago. The guide will teach you the basics of trekking on the ice and you also get to visit the ancient industrial monuments of the now deserted Laitakari island. The icetrek consists of total 2 – 3 km walking on icy sea and snowy island.

ICETREK IN HAPARANDA
We pick you up from Kemi or Haparanda-Tornio hotels/stations etc. and drive to Sweden side of the border. Haparanda icetrekking route wanders through the forest and swampy sceneries of Riekkola nature reservation area to the Baltic sea. During the walk the guide will teach you the basics of trekking on the ice and you also get to visit the most eastern point of Sweden at borderstone 59 next to the Robinson Crusoe filming stage. The icetrek consists of total 2 km walking on icy sea and snowy forest.
Price includes guiding in English and rental of icetrekking poles, boots and in case of open ice also mandatory helmets. Conquer the Old Varjakka historical sawmill island of Oulu! Reach the origins of wood industry by chain ferry. Enjoy the fresh sea atmosphere while learning the real culture of Oulu. On wintertime Varjakka island is reached by icetrekking over the sea ice. The tour consists of total 2 km walking on nature trails around the unique buildings and ruins of Varjakka island.
